About the drummer

Joey Kramer is the driving force behind Aerosmith, known for his blues-rock swing and powerful delivery. He coined the term "Aero-force" to describe the band's rhythmic power. He is a primary study for anyone learning drums with an interest in American hard rock history.

Drummer style

His style blends heavy rock beats with a subtle funk influence, creating a "swing" that is unique to Aerosmith. Playing drums in his style requires a strong snare hit and the ability to play with a "laid-back" groove. His tracks are staples in drum lessons and are evergreen favorites for drum covers.
