He provided the driving, aggressive beat for the early British Invasion sound. He is an essential study for anyone learning drums with an interest in 60s rock history.

Drummer style

His style is powerful and driving, often featuring very heavy snare hits and a relentless, swinging energy. Playing drums along to his tracks is a great way to develop speed and "punch" in your playing. His iconic rhythms are perfect for classic rock drum covers and early drum lessons.
